About JW Woodturning and me
For most of my life I have been an academic and consultant. I am now the Emeritus Professor Of Analytics at Dundee University where I still do a little work from time to time.
But I am mostly retired. When my father retired he took up wood turning and passed on to me a love of wood, some chisels and a few of the blanks that he had never turned into bowls. My wife and I carried them from house to house until I retired whereupon I followed in my Father’s saw-dusty footsteps. His name was John Whitehorn and used to stamp his work “JW”. I also have his stamp, so I use that and the company is called JW Woodturning to carry on his tradition.
